The Blackbox Plus is an analog VHF two way radio that is an ideal starter radio. Built by the manufacturer with durability in mind, the Plus can be used in almost all working environments including the outdoors as it is IP54 water-resistant. A relatively compact radio the Blackbox Plus stands at just 4.37" in height, 2.16" in width and 1.26" in depth whilst weighing just 8.2 oz. With these dimensions and weight, the Plus makes for easy carrying via the use of either the supplied belt clip or an optional carrying solution such as a wrist strap or carry case.

There are many features that operators of the Blackbox Plus can make use of to get the most out of their radios. 16 Channels allow for sufficient communications between small to medium sized teams, with one of these channels capable of being programmed as a scanning channel. When selected the scanning channel will continuously switch through programmed channels on the lookout for ongoing transmissions, once one has been found the scan will stop and won't continue until the transmission has finished. A channel announcement function lets the user know what channel they have selected, this is ideal should you be in a dark environment where you can't see the channel number that is on the selection knob.

When purchasing the Blackbox Plus you will receive everything you need for the radio to be used right out of the box. A 1300mAh Li-Ion battery allows for the radio to be used for up to 8 hours in a 5-5-90 duty cycle. There are many features that allow for the optimization of the battery, a battery saver can reduce features of the radios when your battery life becomes low to help extend the remaining life in your Plus radio. Other items that you will receive include a rapid rate drop-in charger, accessory clamp, belt clip and a VHF antenna.
