The Motorola RMU2080 is a fantastic ergonomically designed GMRS two way radio for close-quarters workplaces.
Programming
The RMU2080 is supplied programmed with 2 channels and has the capability to program an extra 6 channels, making 8channels in total.

Audio and Connectivity
The user is ensured clear and great quality audio meaning the RMU2080 can be used in many environments no matter how challenging they may be. this radio allows the user to communicate quickly across the workplace ranging from 500 yards to 20 floors high.
Durability & Water Resistance
Built to Mil-Spec 810 standards this radio can be used in all weather conditions without the worry of it being damaged. Furthermore, this radio has an Ingres protection rating of IP55 meaning it will be protected from limited dust and un-pressured water jets.
Frequencies, Channels & Licence
This two-way radio has a 2-watt output power and operates on 99 unique UHF business exclusive frequencies. 8 channels are available with the RMU2080 that will each have a unique frequency to enable different communication paths for the workers, job roles or sectors of work. This radio does not require an FCC Itinerant Licence.
Voice Announcements
The RMU2080 features voice announcement which will annunciate the name or number of the channel when the user is changing channels or will notify them when their battery is running low. The user's channels can be renamed using the free programming software available on Motorola's website.
Call Tones
3 call tones will allow the user to notify the fleet of a call/important announcement before sending a transmission. Once the button is pressed a ring/alarm will be sent to the fleet allowing them to pick up their radio or make sure to listen more carefully for the announcement or instruction. This feature can also be programmed using the free programming software.
Audio Accessory Socket & Earpiece Options
The RMU2080 has a two-pin audio socket that can hold many different earpieces for all types of workplaces. Voice activation is available (VOX) is available to be programmed which allows the user to communicate without the use of the PTT button, allowing for hands-free communication.
Chargers & Batteries
Radio to radio cloning makes programming radios much easier and quicker as the user can copy one radios settings to another when using the multi-unit charger. A 2100mAh Li-Ion rechargeable battery comes as standard with the RMU2080 which will ensure power to the radio for up to 10 hours which is more than enough for the average work shift.
Warranty
When purchasing this radio the user is guaranteed 2 years full replacement warranty in cases of faulty hardware, broken chargers or any unprecedented accidents or damages.
