Motorola VX-264

The VX-264 is a commercial two-way radio from Motorola. A 5 Watt radio the VX-264 has 128 channels meaning it is ideal for larger working environments, these channels can be split into zones to ensure that separate divisions within your organization have their own private channels. The VX-264 has an 8 character alphanumeric display that can showcase the current transmitting channel to the operator, allowing for at a glance confirmation that you are transmitting on the correct channel.

There are 6 programmable buttons located on the VX-264 with 4 of them on the faceplate of the radio, this allowing for quick access to regularly used features when required. Two major safety features that the VX-264 can use include both Lone Worker and an Emergency Alert. The latter is simply a programmed button that when pressed will send out an alert to other radios within the network to inform them that you may be in danger, whereas Lone Worker monitors activity levels of the radio and in turn when the radio has been inactive for a pre-set period of time will send an alert to other radios within the network to inform them that you may be in trouble.

The VX-264 is an extremely durable radio. Built to IP54 standards this ensures that the radio has a limited Ingres against dust intrusion whilst also being safeguarded against splashes of water from all angles. MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/G also ensures that the VX-264 has been tested in a variety of environmental conditions, with the radio being capable of operating in temperatures as low as -30°C through to 60°C.
